Scott Clair, Ph.D
Scott Clair received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology in 1996 from the University of Houston. Prior to coming to ISU he spent 5 years in a joint appointment with the Hispanic Health Council, a non-profit research, service, and advocacy organization, and with Yale University in their Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS. Scott has been actively involved in numerous research projects focusing on three main areas: specifically, drug use, HIV, and social networks. More specifically, his past research experience has focused on 1) examining syndemics (mutually reinforcing epidemics) within at-risk populations, 2) examining risky behavior, particularly the HIV risk behaviors of drug users, 3) the application of social network and dynamical systems models to risk behavior patterns.
